But it seems like their next best player is also being lined up for a move to the Nou Camp.
Philippe Coutinho is a gem of a footballer but, unfortunately for the Merseyside club, that hasn’t escaped the attentions of everyone else in the world either. Particularly Barca.
And compatriot, Neymar, has already started courting Liverpool’s attacking midfielder and speaking publicly about how he could be playing alongside him with the Catalan giants.
“There are a lot of Brazilian players who could be playing for Barcelona. One of them is Philippe Coutinho,” Neymar said. “He’s a great player and he has Barcelona style.”
He did have the good grace of stopping short of forcing a Barcelona jersey onto him though. So fair play.
