VIDEO: Ireland international Jack Byrne can only watch as Ajax score incredible team goal

Wow.

Kevin McGillicuddy

The Dubliner couldn’t get near any of the opposition to get tackle in.

Ajax are of course the club that gave the world Johan Cruyff, and the Dutch master himself could not but be impressed as his side put on an absolute exhibition in their clash with Cambuur at the weekend.

Ireland U21 international Jack Byre is on loan with the Eredivisie struggers from Manchester City, and he’s been impressing with the team since his summertime switch despite their poor recent results.

But not even a player of his class could  get a foot near any of the Ajax players on Saturday in an incredible 19-pass-move that ended with the final goal in the ultimate 5-1 loss.

It’s not quite at Barcelona’s level yet, but the goal is a good indication of the kind of education Byrne is getting in the Erdivese.
