This is worth watching for the commentary alone.
Christian Marquez scored an unbelievable golazo last night in Ecuador. A 50-yard effort, basically the last kick of the game, that gave El Nacional a 2-1 victory over rivals Barcelona SC.
Marquez picks up on a heavy touch from his opponent, allows the ball to roll past him, takes a quick look up, then hits a first-time shot which catches the Barcelona goalkeeper off guard.
The ball flies into the net, Marquez, the team and their fans are sparked into wild celebrations and the commentator loses his mind.
The video below is worth watching alone for the commentary and also has some brilliant camera shots, panning between El Nacional’s celebrations and the unfortunate, desolate Barcelona goalkeeper.
While the image of the clock ticking towards full-time just adds to the brilliance of the goal. What an effort.
