Villa might’ve gone down but at least Ciaran Clark went down fighting.
The pressure mounted on Paul Lambert (again) as his team lost this afternoon’s Midlands derby away to basement side Leicester and, true to form, Villa finished the day with 10 men and no goals.
City’s Matty James saw a straight red for his injury time two-footer on the away side’s best player Jores Okore in what was an otherwise dreadful day.
And Irish international Ciaran Clark took exception to James’ forceful challenge as he reacted by dumping the opposition player to the ground before the pair grappled until Clark joined him on the sideline with a second yellow.
It didn’t end there though as the pair had to be pulled apart at the tunnel. Villa fans, infuriated at the result, are once again calling for the manager’s head but at least – at the very least – their Republic defender is showing a bit of hurt.
