Taken like a seasoned goalscorer. An Emile Heskey, if you will.
Fair play to RB Leipzig manager, Achim Beierlorzer, because he bloody went for it and put it all on the line in search for promotion to the Bundesliga.
Last night’s game between Leipzig and Darmstadt in the German second tier was tied at one apiece in injury time when, sensing that only a win would keep their chase for a top three spot alive, the home side threw goalkeeper Fabio Coltorti up for the corner.
At 1-1.
And, judging from his evasive movement in the box, his deadly deft first touch and his cool finish, the former Swiss international goalkeeper should be up there more often.
Coltorti was the hero with his last gasp winner for his side who now sit just three points off third place – the promotion playoff place – currently occupied by Darmstadt.
It was all or nothing last night and these lads got what they deserved for having the cahonies to go for it.
