This referee just can’t take it any more
Tired of the non-stop barracking and intimidation faced by top-level referees these days, French official Philippe Kalt decided to strike a blow for his comrades, literally.
In charge of a Ligue 1 game between Bordeaux and Lens, Kalt was surrounded by Lens players after failing to give a free-kick for a challenge on Adamo Coulibaly and subsequently booking his team-mate Pablo Chavarria.
Rather than put up with Coulibaly’s protests, though, Kalt shoved him in the side of the head.
