Despite being at the club for less than a season, Frank Lampard has already elevated himself to legendary status at the Etihad.
Frank Lampard aka Chelsea’s all-time leading goalscorer and regarded as a general hero at Stamford Bridge, made a guest appearance on the British TV show Play to the Whistle this week.
Presenter Holly Willoughby’s introduction for Lampard at the beginning of the programme sparked a pretty memorable reaction from the former England international.
Willoughby referred to the midfielder as a “Man City and England legend”, even though Lampard is only with the club on loan until the end of the season. Upon hearing the hyperbolic description of his short-lived career in Manchester, Lampard’s face dropped immediately.
