This could’ve been so much worse.
2-1 down, Lionel Messi taking the piss and a 50-50 ball bounces in between you. It’s the easiest thing in the world to go through the little fecker.
Filipe Luis paid the price for his frustrations on Saturday as Barcelona saw off Atletico 2-1 at the Nou Camp but, thankfully, Lionel Messi didn’t pay as well.
The Argentine was at the end of a nasty stud challenge straight into his knee as his leg was planted on the ground and it was a tackle that ended Filipe Luis’ game as the referee brandished a straight red card in his direction – a decision that didn’t comfort a concerned Luis Enrique any more who was livid on the sideline.

Of course, Messi still scored as Barca went on to stretch their lead at the top of La Liga to three points with a game in hand over second-place Atletico and, whilst Suarez also netted (obviously), Messi’s strike was a nice little record to share with a certain rival.
Between them Messi and Ronaldo have now scored 1000 career goals in a combined 1386 games. Utterly bonkers statistic!
