Who needs Christian Benteke when you have Divock Origi?

He might be the subject of rumours that he could be heading out on loan in January, but the Belgian striker showed a glimpse of his talent tonight in the Europa League clash between Liverpool and FC Sion.

The Swiss side were described as absolute pants by their manger after a weekend loss, and it took Liverpool less than four minutes to take the lead at anfioeld tonight through goodwork from the former Lens man.

He held up the ball, got knocked off, but showed good strength and speed to move in along the by-line and square for Adam Lallana.

The striker has only started two games so far for the club , both in the Europa League, but perhaps his performance tonight may give manager Brendan Rodgers more confidence in the player for the rest of the season..

Origi’s assist was about the best thing about the game from a Liverpool perspective as the sides ended deadlocked at 1-1.

And the reaction of Liverpool fans afterwards was not pleasant.
