Daryl Murphy is hitting some serious form.

After going on a bit of a drought for a large portion of the season, the Waterford native is starting to rack up the goals.

The Republic of Ireland striker improved his chances of starting at Euro 2016 by scoring his eight goal of the season during Ipswich Town’s 1-1 draw with Preston on Saturday.

After some good team build up by Mick McCarthy’s side, Murphy found himself with the ball at his feet with his back to goal outside the box. He darted away from his marker, dribbled around another defensive player and unleashed a beautifully placed effort that skidded into the bottom corner of the net to secure a point for his side.

The goal marked his eighth in 12 matches.
