Penalty-gate we’ll call it. The time Lionel Messi disrespected Celta Vigo by passing the ball from the spot. We’re on disrespect now, aren’t we? It’s right up there with celebrating against your old team.
Cristiano Ronaldo got tired of being fielded questions about the Barcelona superstar in the build up to Real Madrid’s Champions League clash in Rome and he got cryptic, and seemingly a little bitter.
Then, pre-kick off, the Portuguese attacker and his team mates were seen and heard apparently imitating Messi’s now iconic penalty from the weekend previous.

Well, a bit more practice and they might’ve had it perfect because, instead, Ronaldo went out against Malaga and missed his seventh ever penalty for Real Madrid.
And, of course, his begrudgers lined up.

Before you go thinking he’s human or anything stupid like that, he did already score a stupendous header only three minutes beforehand. But the penalty would’ve put them two ahead and, instead, Madrid ended up drawing the game 1-1.
