There are no words.
But we’re going to give it a try anyway.
Mesmerising. Phenomenal. Special.
Cristiano Ronaldo hasn’t enjoyed the same plaudits of late. Despite scoring 57 goals in 57 games in 2015, it’s been said that he isn’t at his best and he hasn’t been in truth.
His league stats for this season even showed that he just isn’t as important to Real Madrid as he has been during his record-breaking spell in the Spanish capital.
But, on Sunday night, he lit up the Bernabeu again like he has done more than any other player ever has.
A first half penalty put Madrid 2-0 up against Espanyol but then a moment of pure magic before the break put them four to the good.
And, my God, what a goal.
The pace, the cut-back, the foot-work, the finish.
Look at it again, for God’s sake.

We’re not even sure what he did with his feet there to wrangle that space.
Cristiano Ronaldo's incredible goal

One more for the laugh.
