We can only imagine the parties that are going to be thrown if the Republic of Ireland get past France on Sunday.
Whatever happens from here on out is a bonus after Ireland fought their way out of the group stages of Euro 2016 with a last-ditch winner via the head of Robbie Brady on Wednesday night.
It will go down as one of the greatest nights in Irish sporting history and was celebrated as such by supporters in France and back home.
And on the Lille streets, two of the most recognisable faces of the national team’s past didn’t want the night to end.
Former Republic of Ireland manager Brian Kerr and former international Ronnie Whelan spent the hours following the 1-0 victory celebrating with supporters as the sun came up.
Renditions of ‘With or Without You’ and ‘Man in the Mirror’ echoed around Lille and, although Kerr seemed to be getting more involved than Whelan, both definitely enjoyed their sing-song.
