Manchester United may need to keep up their winning run to convince their boss that a trip to Munich to get sloshed is well deserved.
Bastian Schweinsteiger has been in Manchester a wet month and he is already endearing himself to United’s fanbase.
The genial German has played twice for United since his move from Bayern Munich, which turned out to be for a steal.
At his first press conference at Old Trafford, Schweinsteiger told reporters he wanted to take the United players to Munich to partake in Oktoberfest.
The 31-year-old has now told BT Sport that he still has high hopes about making the beer festival jaunt.
‘I don’t think [van Gaal will let us] but we’re going to try it,’ he said.
‘Maybe if there are good results beforehand, there is a chance.”
