Effortless.
Bastian Schweinsteiger played his first game for his new club last night on Manchester United’s American tour and looked like he had been playing there for the last five years.
Granted the opposition wasn’t exactly of the top top variety – sorry Club America – but for a player to just slot in like that and spray the ball round like Teutonic Paul Scholes was impressive.
He only played 45 minutes, coming on as a second half substitute in the 1-0 win, but he was so sharp in that brief cameo that Manchester United fans can get rightly excited about what’s to come over the next few months as the start of a new season approaches.
