The problem with Inter is they always try to walk it in
Lukas Podolski has had a torrid time in the Serie A since Arsenal shipped him out on loan to Inter Milan in the January transfer window.
The 29-year-old German striker has failed to find the net in seven games for the Italians and judging by his performance last night, he’s no closer to getting off the mark.
The World Cup winner was handed a start up front for Inter’s 2-1 win over Cagliari, but failed to beg that elusive first goal during the game in spectacular style.
He was gifted a wonderfully opportunity when he received a wonderfully-weighted, lobbed through-ball inside the box.
However, instead of unleashing the Kraken, Podolski had a bit of a brain fart. He took a touch, then another and kept soon he found himself dribbling towards his own half.
He did eventually get the pass away to Mauro Icardi but the Argentine blazed the ball miles over the bar.
