You’ve got to commend him for not even attempting to hide his intent.
Pablo Martel, manager of Argentinian outfit Club Atletico Union Santiago has really crossed a line, both literally and figuratively.
Martel lost the plot during a recent game and decided to take his frustration out on a member of the opposition. A winger made a darting run down the flank when the manager wandered out of his technical area to viciously take the player out.
This sort of behaviour from coaches is, of course, utterly reprehensible… most of the time.
Sometimes it is justifiable.
