Richard Swarbrick aka @RikkiLeaks has really outdone himself with his latest work of art. Ahead of the Ballon d’Or ceremony tonight, the artist released a brilliant animated tribute to Cristiano Ronaldo comprised of 1,100 hand-drawn sketchbook pages featuring the Real Madrid superstar.
The video takes the viewer on a journey throughout the glory days of Ronaldo’s career, beginning with his tenure at Manchester United and closing off with the Real Madrid years.
Swarbrick uses the power of art to reconstruct some of the Portugal captain’s most memorable moments in his storied career, including a selection of his wondergoals, some of his trademark florid footwork and his infamous free-kick taking routine.
