The search for Africa’s next top Neuer is finally over.
We’ve found the African Manuel Neuer and he togs out for Algerian outfit Mouloudia Olympique de Bejaia (catchy!)
Malik Asselah did his best impersonation of the risk-taking German shot-stopper during a recent game against world football powerhouses (we presume) CR Belouizdad.
While protecting a flimsy one-goal lead, Ansselah found himself with the ball inside his six-yard box. This is a pretty terrifying position to be in, particularly when the opposition strikers are quickly closing you down.
However, the goalkeeper decided to remain calm and embrace his inner Neuer. So he did the only logical thing and do a pirouette around an oncoming attacker in order to find space.
