Judge not lest ye be Judged.
The Irish players were firing on all cylinders during the Championship clash between Derby County and Brentford on Saturday night.
The Rams ran out 3-1 winners with three of the four goals being scored by Irishmen. Chris Martin (the Derby player, not the the guy from Coldplay) was the only non-Irish goalscorer in the match.
Jeff Hendrick and Cyrus Christie grabbed the other two for the victors while Alan Judge netted Brentford’s solitary goal, the game’s opener.
Although, it didn’t matter in the grand scheme of the match, Judge may have gotten himself one step closer to a spot in the Irish Euro 2016 squad with the phenomenal solo effort. The Dubliner won the ball in his own half before turning on the afterburners, sprinting all the way into Derby’s box before squeezing it into the corner of the net from an acute angle.
