What’s the opposite of an impact sub?
Alessandro Matri had one of the shortest pre-season cameos in football history on Thursday.
The Milan striker came on in the 11th hour during his side’s friendly against Real Madrid. With the clock winding down and the score locked at 0-0, the gaffer made the executive decision to bring the forward into the game.
Matri darted onto the pitch, full of enthusiasm and ready to make his mark on the game by bagging the winner. Unfortunately, the referee had blown the final whistle before he made it to the centre of the park.
He looked a little bit red-faced after coming on for the sum total of five-seconds.
