Victor Valdes pays classy tribute to Manchester United as Old Trafford nightmare ends

Safe travels

If we were Victor Valdes we would have spent our last six months at Manchester United just doing one thing; eyeing up what of value to rob.

The former Barcelona man has been frozen out of action at Old Trafford after a public falling out with Louis van Gaal since his January 2015 move to England.

The netminder was sent to train with the club’s reserves, and then U21s after a bust up with the club’s manager, but finally has had his Premier League nightmare ended with a loan move to Standard Liege by all accounts.

The move has not yet been confirmed, but it seems that Valdes has packed his bags and is ready to say goodbye to Manchester.

But there is no ill feeling from the goalkeeper to anyone at the club, which is a sign of what a decent skin he is, and also how badly treated he was by LvG.

And while the Dutchman may not be too sorry to see the back of the ‘keeper, David De Gea, who it’s understood was upset how badly Valdes was treated by the club, has tweeted his support and best wishes.
