America, we need to talk.
We know you love your sport. We know millions of you play ‘soccer’ (only basketball has more U18s playing) but we can’t let you continue thinking that phrases like ‘the upper 90’ and ‘double felony’ are acceptable when describing the top corner and a red card. USIT are on a mission but they need the help of Irish football players and coaches to head to America and show them how the beautiful game should be played.
Like football? Like travel? Want to spend a summer on a football pitch in the United States of America? Well, you’ve come to the right place.
USIT are hiring again for the last few places of 2018 on their Coach Soccer USA programme. They’re holding five recruitment days to chat to Irish people who are interested in coaching in America.
If you’re between 18-30 years of age, passionate about soccer and if you’re up for coaching kids all summer, you could spend 8-10 weeks across the pond.
The trial days are taking place across the country in the next week:
- January 28 – Coolock, Dublin North
- January 29 – Sligo IT
- January 30 – Cork IT
- January 31 – University of Limerick
- February 1 – University College Dublin
USIT will look after your return flights, accommodation, J1 Camp Counsellor Visa, medical insurance, a US bank account, coaching equipment, a rental car and you’ll be given a salary and up to a month to go travelling after your work is done. All of this for a fee of €999.*
What the hell are you waiting for? Go get yourself hired.
*Fees from just €999 include flights to NYC, Boston, Atlanta – flight supplements will apply for all other cities.
