If you’re a football nerd, then this is the stat for you.
By the same extension, if you want a stat that that you can wheel out in the pub that causes your “non-football friends” to become so bored they pluck out their eyeballs and shove them into their ears, then this should also have you covered.
Liverpool’s 14 assisted goals so far this season have been created and scored by different combinations of players.
While other club’s may be heavily reliant on a certain play maker or a sharpshooter to carry the burden for their team, it looks like Liverpool have a plethora of players capable of working together to produce goal scoring opportunities.
Either that or they’re lacking that one star player to do all that for them.
