With so much freely available information about Premier League players these days, it’s rare to find a player who no one seems to know anything about.
But Newcastle’s Swiss defender Kevin Mbabu is one of those players, and by the end of the draw against Chelsea he made us all feel guilty for having not heard of him.
The 20-year-old only made his debut for the club in midweek against Sheffield Wednesday, so some were surprised to see him come in for Massadio Haidara against the champions.

But as the game progressed it seemed the youngster had a bit about him.
Mbabu with a strong early drive inside. He looks the part and certainly has confidence. Good energy from #NUFC.
