There was universal hatred for that bloody trumpet player in the Aviva Stadium

This is up there with vuvuzela levels of annoyance

Sean McMahon

How annoying was that?!

Ireland had to deal with a 0-0 draw at home to Wales at the Aviva Stadium tonight, in what was mostly a dull affair.

The game did open up in the second half and there was a lot more chances for both sides as both teams searched for winner.

Unfortunately, the highlight of the second half was Neil Taylor receiving a red card for a horrendous tackle on Seamus Coleman.

The Ireland captain looked to have suffered a serious lower leg injury and was permanently removed from the field of play as a result.

This sparked Ireland into action but unfortunately, they couldn’t find a winner in the last 15 minutes as they piled on the pressure against a Welsh side with a man down.

Throughout the game, you were easily able to hear a trumpet playing somewhere in the crowd.

However, it wasn’t exactly music to people’s ears.

And that applies to both people in the ground and to those watching on TV.
