If you thought you had missed out on the journey of a lifetime, think again.
Thousands upon thousands of Irish football fans applied, through the UEFA website, to watch their team in Euro 2016 action.
UEFA revealed, this morning, that more than 3.5m applications have been made for 800,000 tickets, available through their national team portals.
The five teams whose fans submitted the most applications through their dedicated ticket portal are: Ireland, Poland, France, Austria and Switzerland.
Unsurprisingly, one of Ireland’s matches is in the top three for applications.
The top three games subscribed for are Germany v Poland, Ireland v Sweden and Portugal v Austria.
UEFA have announced that tickets for individual games can also be snatched up, in Category 1 and 2 and accessibility seats.
Ticket applications may be made here until February 1 with fans finding out whether they were successful no later than February 29.
UEFA do note that anyone making applications should ensure they have enough funds in their credit card accounts.
Ireland fans will be heartened to hear that individual tickets for all of Ireland’s three games – Sweden, Italy and Belgium – are open for requests.
