Twitter was not kind towards Liverpool’s new signing

The new Brad Jones

Robert Redmond

Congratulations Adam Bogdan.

The Hungarian goalkeeper has fulfilled the dreams of millions and signed for Liverpool today. He may be spending most of his time on the bench, but it’s still a considerable achievement to make it to one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Unfortunately for Bogdan, Twitter weren’t as forthcoming in congratulating him on his move.

Most were stumped by the logic of what is effectively an upgrade on former Liverpool keeper Brad Jones.

Others weren’t too familiar with the Hungary number one.

Some found the whole thing quite funny.

For others though, it was too much and a defining moment in the club’s history. All hope is lost, there’s no point in playing next season and Bill Shankly is surely spinning in his grave.

A few had a more reasoned view about a second choice goalkeeper signing on a free-transfer.
