Never mind all this silly bickering over empty seats or about what colour the city is, it's high time that Manchester United and Manchester City fans put their rivalry aside and joined together as one. After all, 'together they're stronger'.
Clearly, there's more chance of Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho going out on the town for a few pints together than this ever happening, but with the first Mancunian derby of the season on the horizon, one Twitter user has boldly attempted to make Manchester a
city united.
Let us stress that
the tweet below is a piss take, but it's already caused quite a reaction since it surfaced on Twitter in the final moments of August 2016. An image showing a half and half United / City crest appears with the words 'Together we're stronger' along with the toe-curlingly embarrassing hashtag, #ManchesterFamiliesUnite. They've even lumped in a kissing face emoji, just to complete the sub-140 character cringe-fest.

Just to make clear that it's a wind-up, it's even followed by this.

City face United at Old Trafford on September 10. There's a good chance you'll be seeing a bit more of this tweet in the time before that day arrives.
