Treacle Legs Enrique was up to his old tricks against Exeter City in the FA Cup.
As soon as it was announced that Enrique was set to start his first game of the season at centre-back, Liverpool fans feared the worst.
Their fears were soon realised when Exter City took the lead just 10 minutes in after Tim Nichols broke free from his marker to get a toe on the end of a cross from the right wing to guide the ball past Adam Bogdan in the Reds’ goal.
Jerome Sinclair managed to bring things level a couple of minutes later, but Liverpool were trailing at half time thanks to a highly unusual goal scored directly from a corner kick.
Needless to say, the reaction to Enrique’s first half performance in general was pretty negative, to say the least.

Having watched 10 minutes of Jose Enrique. I would just like to declare myself available if Liverpool fail to a centre half this week! #LFC

Enrique is like a sloth. So slow there. Good finish by Nicholls though. #EmiratesFACup
