Manchester United lost to Southampton today and their fans on Twitter weren’t happy.
The Saints won 1-0 thanks to substitute Dusan Tadic’s goal and, although the host’s had chances to score, Southampton deserved their win and have leapfrogged United into 3rd place.
Here’s how Twitter reacted:
Manchester United missed chances through Juan Mata. And Ashley Young.

Southampton basically need to break their PL record by 13 pts to qualify CL, which seems unlikely, and yet… consistency from now obv key.

Did @WayneRooney seriously say Man Utd deserved to win today? How can you deserve to win if you don’t get a shot on target let alone score?

Van Gaal is the master of rebounding Qs back on journalists. Usually the most relevant Qs – i.e. his centre-halves, points total etc
