Jamie Carragher – footballer, pundit, innovator.
The former Liverpool centre-back is not only analysis games now but he’s actually introducing new words into the footballing lexicon to describe certain positions.
Carragher has no time for old fuddy-duddy terms like ‘false number 9.’ Rather, he’s all about ‘centre fireworks’ and we can’t say we hate it.
A centre fireworks is a striker who can do things out of nothing on his own. I want the term to become more popular than the ‘false 9’

We presume by ‘Centre Fireworks’ that Carragher means an explosive forward who tracks back and bursts into an action when the ball becomes available, something which he doesn’t think would apply to Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud.
.@Thetullyboy @worksopdanic @ThierryHenry I’m a fan of Giroud underrated but if they can get a Centre Fireworks get him!!

Carragher’s creativity has gotten us thinking and we’ve decided to rename a few other positions.
