That’s right, Glen Johnson has confirmed on Twitter today that he will definitely not be playing on Merseyside next season.
The England international was a high-profile signing under Rafa Benitez but his regular lapses of concentration have meant that fans have very much turned against him during his six-year spell at the club.
Still, at least he thinks some people were nice to him.
The tea lady perhaps.
A big thank you to all the people out there who have genuinely supported me through the last 6 years. #200 #NewChapter

Raheem Sterling has already auditioned and won the part of the man who fans will now hate next season – if he sticks around.
