Ronaldinho’s nomadic journey through world football will continue in Turkey next season
The Brazil legend, who spent last season at Mexican side Queretaro, has reportedly agreed to join Antalyaspor, where he will be reunited with former Barcelona team-mate Samuel Eto’o, who is also expected to join the club.
Bullish club boss Gultekin Gencer predicted the deal for the 35-year-old would be completed this week, telling Turkish media: ‘We reached an agreement with Ronaldinho. I think within two days it’ll be made official.
‘Besides Eto’o and Ronaldinho, we will make another big-name signing. When it’s done, we’ll set the world on fire!’
We presume Gencer’s obvious fondness for Barca’s 2006 Champions League-winning side means that other ‘big-name signing’ is Deco, Henrik Larsson or Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
