Gunners set to seal record deal for PSG striker

Goal-shy sides are always interested in the post Christmas sales and there is plenty of speculation rergarding where some strikers could be about to begin 2015.

Arsenal have had some classic strikers in the past from Ian Wright, Denis Bergkamp and Nicklas Bendtner and Thierry Henry. Well according to The Telegraph this morning it looks like Edison Cavani is very close to joining the ranks at the Emirates.

The striker was left out of a PSG training camp in Marrakesh and it looks like his days in Paris are over if Arsene Wenger can break out the piggy bank and find £50million to land the Uruguayan.

Arsenal might be gaining one world-class striker but the could be losing another not so world-class one.

Today’s Daily Star is suggesting that Yaya Sanogo is heading to France to link up with Bordeaux on loan.

The 21 year-old hasn’t featured too often for the Gunners this season and Arsene Wenger is hoping the loan deal may improve his confidence and pave the way for a permanent deal in the summer.

Arsenal v Liverpool - FA Cup Fifth Round

Manchester United and Gareth Bale is the rumour that just won’t go away. A bit like One Direction.

Well, Real President Florentino Perez has ruled out any possible move for the Wales international by either Chelsea or Man Utd. According to the Daily Star Perez says that he cannot imagine life at Madrid without Bale. Awh.

However, the refusal to sell Bale might open the door for Ronaldo to eventually move back to Old Trafford but for a crazy fee of €1b.

And Martin Odegaard’s grand tour of Europe continues as he’s in Manchester this week to train with City at the Ethiad.

The teenager, who has been pretty much linked with every club across the continent at this stage, has previously trained with Utd and according to today’s Daily Express Louis van Gaal was very taken by the 16 year-old.

The Norway international is regarded as one of the top midfield prospects of his generation and already has his pick of where he wants to end up.

Chelsea and Manchester United are set to battle it out to try and prise Sergio Ramos away from Real Madrid.

The defender and kind-of looper is linked with a move away from the Bernabeu in today’s Daily Express and his wages would make you weep.

Both Premier League sides will match any fee that Real set and his pay-packet will come in at a reported £105,000 a week.

Nice work if he can get it.
