Going Dutch once again

Sunday morning coming down

But this Sunday morning it seems the price for a certain goalkeeper is only going up and up.

Most of the newspapers today – on this day of rest –  are linking Manchester United with a firm bit for Jasper Cillessen.

The 26-year-old is currently the number one at Ajax, and with David de Gea’s future still uncertain, it seems that the club are almost resigned to losing the Spaniard.

The biggest issue, however, between Old Trafford and the Dutch giants is the price tag for the keeper with the Sunday Mirror reporting he’ll cost £25million while the Mail On Sunday report that Real Madrid will bid the same amount for De Gea.

Elsewhere, and in your daily fix of Pedro news it seems that the Barcelona man will link up with representatives from Manchester United later this week to hammer out his transfer to England.

The winger, who’s available for a hardly believable £21million, has said his goodbyes to all at Camp Nou and is expected to wrap up a deal early this week.

Marca report that the player will sign in the coming days as a like-for-like replacement for the departed Angel Di Maria.

Move over in the dressing room Yaya, as Kevin De Bruyne is on the cusp of sealing a massive money move to Eastlands.

The Star report that the former Chelsea man is already getting ready for his Premier League return for a whopping £45million.

The player will link up with Raheem Sterling and Fabian Delph at the club later this week as the club have already booked his medical at the Ethiad.

Another former Premier League player who’s being hawked around at the moment is Dimitar Berbatov.

The king of lazy goals has been released by Monaco, and according to the Sunday Mirror he may be looking to return to London.

West Ham are understood to be the frontrunners to sign the forward, which could prompt a Andy Carroll-Berbatov partnership.

Now that Filipe Luis is gone Chelsea are looking for additional defensive cover, and it seems they are looking for a tough-looking dude from Augsberg.

Baba Rahman, whose name would be a sub-editor’s wet dream, is understood to have been subject to a €25million bid from the Premier League champions.

According to The Observer, the player is keen on a move to London but his club are holding out for closer to €30million for his services.
