Transfers: Liverpool linked with audacious move for Zlatan Ibrahimovic

We'd love to see the Swede in the Premier League

Gareth Makim

Wait, what?!

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s time in Paris could be drawing to a close after he lost the plot following a recent league game. The PSG star’s insulting remarks about France could be straw that breaks the Qatari camel’s back, and if the Swede is looking for a new club, Liverpool have been installed as favourites to sign the pouty forward. We struggle to see how he’d fit with the recruitment strategy at Anfield, but it would be great fun to finally see Zlatan in the Premier League. (Daily Star)

In more realistic news, Manchester United and Chelsea are lining up €80million bids to sign Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, according to the club’s sporting director. Giuseppe Marotta says the club have no intention of selling the 22-year-old France midfielder, but said: ‘There are many suitors of Pogba. But we do not want to open negotiations and we want him to stay with us. There are clubs prepared to pay between €70m and €80m to sign him.’ (Express)

Chelsea FC Training Session

Chelsea full-back Filipe Luis could call it quits on his Premier League career this summer. The Brazilian defender cost the Blues £16million but has been unable to shift Cesar Azpilicueta from the first team and could seek a return home to Atletico Madrid. (Telegraph)

Loic Remy was a big hit for Alan Pardew at Newcastle, and his former manager is set to launch a summer bid to bring the Frenchman to current club Crystal Palace. (Daily Star)
