Transfers: Klopp wants Suarez at Liverpool whilst United and Chelsea battle for Serbian hotshot

Here we go again

It’s not Luis Suarez so you can imagine where this is going.

If all the excitement of the Messi links weren’t enough, the transfer rumour mill is beginning to churn out sh*t again over two months before the window opens.

But when a new manager takes over a big club, it’s never too early to discuss who he will of course, absolutely, most definitely bring to his new team.

And, in Liverpool’s case, Mario Suarez is of course, absolutely, most definitely coming their way.

Apparently.

Chelsea v Fiorentina - Pre Season Friendly

The former Atletico Madrid midfielder is being linked with a move to Anfield as Jurgen Klopp looks to put his stamp on his new club and, after bringing Joe Allen off after 45 minutes the last day only to replace him with Lucas, it’s logical that he has a hard-ass anchor in mind. And that he has spoken those thoughts allowed after a week in the job.

The Spaniard joined Fiorentina in the summer so it would be even more logical that he’d be moving club four months later. (Daily Mirror)

Meanwhile, Manchester United’s apparent deliberation over Sadio Mané in August won’t happen again under Louis van Gaal’s watch.

Southampton v Swansea City - Premier League

The interest in the Southampton attacker raised a few eyebrows in the summer but he’s since gone about playing well again and people realise that actually he might not be a bad acquisition.

Especially when the alternative at the moment is Memphis Depay trying to cut inside. Or cut inside. Or cut inside.

Or Anthony Martial playing out of position.

United are keen to bring the 23-year-old to Old Trafford now. But they’ll have to bump up their bid. (Daily Telegraph)

And it seems that Chelsea will not let Manchester United beat them to another whizkid like that gem they have in Martial.

Oh no, Jose Mourinho – or someone actually interested in the long-term future of Chelsea – are leading the chase for Serbian youngster, Marko Grujic.

The Red Star Belgrade hotshot is also being pursued by PSG but The Guardian are reporting that it is Chelsea who are favourites to land the 19-year-old midfielder.

You can see the excitement of joining the Blues in fairness. You arrive in London and you just never know where exactly in Europe you’re going to be shipped off to on loan.
