Transfer Talk: Morata to the Premier League and loads of players linked to Liverpool

Another day, another Real Madrid reserve being lined up

Perhaps that new found Premier League wealth is finally hitting the rumour mill

The new TV deal signed by the Premier League has led to fears all over European football that the Premier League will become too strong and take all the biggest names in the game from the other top clubs.

True, it is hard to feel much sympathy for the likes of PSG or Bayern, who are happy to utterly dominate their own league financially but we might be seeing the early signs that the Premier League may not hoover up the stars, but they will certainly pick off the best underused talent.

Real Madrid have been stockpiling, and selling on, stars for ages now, with the likes of Angel di Maria and Mesut Ozil just two who made moves elsewhere and yesterday the likes of loanee Chicharito and defender Fabio Coentrao were also linked with moves to the Premier League.

Today it is Alvaro Morata, who was much talked about last summer before he eventually went to Juventus for £15.8m, where he has been decent. Now he may join the ranks of former Madrid men in the Premier League as today’s Express say Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United might buy him in the summer. However, Madrid have a buy-back clause and the report suggests they may use it.

The same paper has also said that Di Maria is happy at United, and ain’t going nowhere after they spoke to his agent Jorge Mendes.

Also, the usually quiet but effective James Milner may be shaping up to be the transfer saga of the next few weeks. The hard running midfielder (check out his record-breaking performance this week) is out of contract at the end of the season and he is stalling on a new deal at Manchester City. Liverpool, it seems, lead the interest but it is also rumoured in the Express that there is some interest from Arsenal.

Elsewhere the Metro say that Liverpool are in the hunt for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette while the Mail say the Reds like Bolton midfielder Josh Vela.

The Mail also say that Brendan Rodgers was in Rome to have a chat about buying Miralem Pjanic, which would be a great move for headline writers everywhere.

And if even half these moves come off, Liverpool are going to need a bigger team bus.
