But Arsenal look like missing out on another transfer target to one of their biggest rivals as Chelsea have upped their interest in Valencia full-back Jose Luis Gaya.
The Gunners looked likely to secure the services of the Spaniard this summer but Chelsea are now willing to activate Gaya's release clause of €19 million.
