Liverpool have gotten talks underway with Borussia Dortmund to bring Ciro Immobile to Anfield, according to the Mirror.

Brendan Rodgers is looking to boost the Reds’ strikeforce next season and Immobile might be the man to add some depth to their attack.

The forward has had a torrid time in his first year with the Bundesliga outfit. Immobile has only managed to find the net three times for Dortmund in the league this season, which means that the club might be willing to offload him.

His poor form won’t necessarily mean he’ll be cheap though, Dortmund will be look for a fee of around £17million for his services.

Former Manchester United midfielder and current club target Paul Pogba won’t be going to Barcelona next season, confirms Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu.

Bartomeu told Radio Monte Carlo that although he admires the talents of the Juventus starlet, the Catalans are not interested in signing him at the moment.

“Pogba is a great player, but in this moment we are not thinking about additions.”

“We are preparing for next season, but we will not provide the names here. Pogba is a good player, one who has a contract with an Italian team that I respect a lot.”

Barca have been strongly linked with Pogba, but will be unable to bring him to the Nou Camp until after their trnafer ban has been lifted in January. The 22-year-old will not be short of suitors though as Manchester United, Manchester City and Real Madrid are all keeping a close eye on his movements.
