Transfer Talk: Chicharito to West Ham and Arsenal eye a Real Madrid player

It'll be a busy flight from Madrid to England if these are true

Sean Nolan

Much ado about Real Madrid’s reserves and little else today

Manchester United fans are in bad form this morning, despite winning against Burnley last night. Everything from the style of play to the selections made by Louis van Gaal is under scrutiny so we wonder would some fans fancy getting Javier Hernandez back.

Chicharito was shipped out to Real Madrid on loan in the summer, where he has barely played, but the papers say the Mexican may never come back to Old Trafford.

The self declared smartest man on the touchline, Sam Allardyce, is rumoured in the Star to fancy taking the striker to West Ham at the earliest opportunity. With the Hammers sitting pretty in the table, a striker to work with Andy Carroll is surely on Big Sam’s shopping list and it looks like Little Pea is surplus to requirements at United.

Meanwhile the London Independent say that the proposed arrival of Lassana Diarra to the Boleyn Ground is now off.

Across London, another underused Real Madrid man may soon be pitching up in the city.

The Metro say that Arsenal think that they can nab Fabio Coentrao from the Spanish giants and slot him in at left-back. The reported fee is a fairly unbelievable £25m for the 26-year-old, so we have our doubts about this one.

Finally, as expected, the fact that Marco Reus signed a bumper new deal at Dortmund has done nothing to stop the rumours about a move away. The Star say that Manchester United could still sign him, if they pay £50m.

This proposed move is never going away, is it?
