Transfer talk: Cech to Arsenal, two clowns to Chelsea, and Liverpool making some big moves

Interesting

The transfer rumour mill is bloody hilarious when it wants to be.

So, get this.

Chelsea coasting to the league title isn’t enough for Jose Mourinho, we know he’s a perfectionist. And we know that they need to improve in the Champions League as well so it looks like they finally have a solution. It looks like they have finally found what is missing from their squad.

Didier Drogba isn’t going to last forever but the Stamford Bridge boss has already lined up a replacement just as effective as the Chelsea legend and someone who really ticks the boxes of everything Mourinho looks for in an athletic, selfless hard-worker.

That man is obviously Emmanuel Adebayor (Daily Express).

If Chelsea fans weren’t impressed enough with that move for a Spurs outcast, they can take solace from the fact that the same crowd, the Daily Express, are also reporting that they’re in for Rob Green. Yeah, the QPR ‘keeper.

Fans of FIFA 15 – and Liverpool – might be psyched to hear the news that Brendan Rodgers is lining up a bid for Borussia Dortmund’s Ciro Immobile. The Italian is anything but immobile and he’d fit right into the Anfield manager’s only requirement in a footballer, that he can press. (TalkSPORT)

The Daily Mail have reported that Chris Smalling and Phil Jones could be leaving Manchester United with no contract talks opened as of yet. No club has come forward to show an interest so far.

Reports in Spain are suggesting that Liverpool are trying to prize Martin Montoya away from Barcelona by offering Glen Johnson in the other direction. It’s like trying to pay for a chocolate bar with the ripped up wrapper of one you’ve already eaten and spat out.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are said to be leading the chase for Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech with Roma and Besiktas also believed to be in the hunt for the Czech. With news that Rob Green could become available from QPR though, Wenger will adopt the ‘wait and see’ approach. (Daily Telegraph)
