It’s Timmy Time.
Sorry, that should be: it’s Timmy’s time.
The odds of Tim Sherwood being the next Premier League manager to leave his post have been slashed and the world of Vine producers weep.
The Aston Villa boss hasn’t won a game since the opening day of the Premier League – barring a narrow League Cup victory against Birmingham – and it seems that punters around the islands are lumping on poor Sherwood to follow Dick Advocaat and Brendan Rodgers out the exit doors.
So much so that he’s as short as 8/11 with Ladbrokes to be the next manager to leave his post.

The former Spurs gaffer won plaudits aplenty at the end of last season having kept Villa afloat in the top tier – albeit in 17th place – and going on a memorable run to the FA Cup final. But the Sherwood effect has no doubt dried up following the summer exits of Fabian Delph and Christian Benteke and, after eight games, the midlands club find themselves four points adrift of safety. Already.
The worse news is that Villa’s next run of games is horrendous.
Chelsea visit Villa Park on Saturday before Swansea, Southampton, Spurs, Man City, and Everton all line up to take shots at the team who have managed to gain points solely against Bournemouth and Sunderland so far.
And his price to be out the door before anyone else has dropped from what was believed to be 6/4 earlier in the day.
With Jose Mourinho’s champions in town this weekend, the game is being billed as a battle between the two managers to save their jobs.
The pair of which are in Ladbrokes’ top three to leave next.
It’s still worth looking at Steve McClaren there – or anyone else.
Not because Tim Sherwood will turn it around, but because for him to be sacked, Randy Lerner would actually have to pay him compensation.
And Randy Lerner does not like spending money.
