Sherwood believes that Kane wouldn’t be able to break into the Aston Villa first team.

Tim Sherwood takes on his former employers today as Aston Villa travel to White Hart Lane for a Premier clash against Spurs.

The gilet enthusiast managed Spurs last season, but was let go to make room for Argentine manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Sherwood has publicly claimed to have played a large part in the development of Harry Kane. He gave the young Englishman his first start for Tottenham and since then he has been in lethal form for the club. At the time of writing, he is the joint-top scorer in the league with Chelsea’s Diego Costa.

However, despite his lethal form this season, Sherwood reckons that he would not be able to break into the current Aston Villa first team.

”At the moment with Christian banging the goals in like he is and Gabby playing like he is, I don’t think I have room for Harry.

“Harry is a good player and we have to show him respect but I have also seen him have off days and we have to hope he has an off day on Saturday.

“I have communicated with him just to wish him well and congratulate him on his international call-ups.”

You heard it here first, Gabby Agbonlahor is a better striker than Harry Kane..
