Leaving the foot in on Instagram.
Tim Cahill scored five goals during his eight years with Everton when they faced Liverpool in the Merseyside Derby.
The Australian international was a right pain for any opposition defence, but he really raised his game and his temperament when playing Liverpool in the ‘Friendly Derby’.
Cahill is gone quite a while from Goodison Park, but it’s clear his heart is still on Merseyside after posting a brilliant snapshot of some of the eight derby games he featured in during his own time in the Premier League.

The post states:
“Wishing my BLUE BOYS @everton all the very best. A game where every challenge means something. Loved the derbies and something I miss a hell of a lot. Amazing city with two amazing teams. Play for the badge boys and the rest will take care of itself.”
If we get half of the excitement tonight as Cahill is hoping for, then we will be doing well at Anfield.
Everton, of course, is looking for a positive result ahead of their FA Cup semi-final clash with Manchester United in the coming days, while Jurgen Klopp will hope to win his first ever local Merseyside Derby at the first attempt.
