This means we can stop writing ‘Thomas Muller to… ‘ stories now doesn’t it.

The German striker has been linked with so many clubs, at this stage, that it is hard to keep up. However, it appears that in his own mind at least, his future is decided.

The Bayern Munich man has been steadily touted as a possible Manchester United or Chelsea signing. Several reports last summer had Louis van Gaal close to prising him away from Germany.

However, according to ESPN, the World Cup winner is now almost certain to sign a new deal with Bayern to keep him at the club until the summer of 2021.

Speaking at a PR event on Wednesday, the 26-year gave this cryptic answer when asked about signing a new deal with his current employers,

“There is a lot of indication for it and not a lot against it.”

Various reports today suggest Muller is close to agreeing a new deal before the end of 2015, which will tie him into a long-term deal at the Allianz Arena.
