This Soccer Saturday Claudio Ranieri tribute will have you crying big, fat, salty tears

Why did they have to do this? WHY?

Simon Lloyd

Nice one Sky.

As if the news of Claudio Ranieri’s sacking wasn’t already enough to make sensible grown-up men with wives, kids and 25-year mortgages cry themselves to sleep for the last couple of nights, you couldn’t resist ruining our weekend a little bit more with a heart-wrenchingly sad montage. You absolute flock of bastards.

With Andrea Bocelli’s rendition of ‘Time to Say Goodbye’ overlaying a few of the highlights of Ranieri during Leicester’s miraculous march to Premier League glory, the one minute 29-second clip was widely circulated after it was posted to Twitter on Saturday afternoon.

As much as we hate the people at Soccer Saturday for making us feel so desperately sad, we’d like to point out that we’ve not seen a finer tribute to Ranieri since news of his sacking started to filter through.

If you haven’t seen it already, grab yourself a nice big box of Kleenex and accept the fact that you’re about to cry the kind of tears that your Mrs does every single time she watches P.S I Love You.

Now pick yourselves up and try and move on with your lives.
