This proves just how bad Eden Hazard was against Liverpool

Things have got very bad...

Ben Kenyon

What a difference 10 games makes.

Eden Hazard was being spoken about in the same breath as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo after a string of scintillating performances for Chelsea last season.

The Blues’ Belgian wizard was instrumental in winning them the Premier League title and he was the only real choice for thePFA Player of the Year award.

That’s what makes Hazard’s form this season all the more astonishing.

While he skied a Champions League penalty against Maccabi Haifa and then missed another against Stoke in the Capital One Cup, it’s perhaps his performance against Liverpool that is most symbolic of his fall from grace.

His stats in the Mirror from the Stamford Bridge clash against Jurgen Klopp’s side were eye-wateringly bad.

Number of chances created: 0

Number of shots on goal: 0

Number of crosses: 0

Number of players beaten in a dribble: 0

Which leads us to the question, what was Hazard actually doing in the 59 minutes before he was unceremoniously subbed by Jose Mourinho?
