PIC: Proof from Finn Park that the League of Ireland is the very best in the world

Where else would you get it.

Kevin McGillicuddy

Finn Harps fans are probably feeling quite chipper this morning.

The club made their return to SSE Airtricity Premier League action last night and recorded a shock 2-1 win over Derry City in Ballybofey.

Dave Scully and Ryan Curran got the all important goals in the victory, after a massive crowd turned out for the Donegal’s side’s seasonal debut.

Finn Park is one of the most famous football stadiums in the country, and with such a large numbers expected, nothing was left to chance for hungry fans.

Food of course was on offer, but the club thought that instead of depending on a trusty petrol generator that powers many a burger van outside of regional venues, they had a chipper plugged into the mains.

There is simply no other league in the world where you would see something like this; it is uniquely irish.

Greatest league in the world we say, and here’s the battered proof.
